Interview with Motion Man: 20/6/06 Ultrakeith.net: What are you up to at the moment? Hows life going? Motion Man: 88 days till opening day of football season so im very impatient at the moment. sheltering my familys 1st, my daughters need a roof, ill sacrafice my life for these girls and thats the honest truth. Ultrakeith.net: The "Pablito's way" single sounds dope, Whens the album due? Motion Man: September asap hurry up get it out. Ultrakeith.net: Tell me a bit about the album. Motion Man: After this long ass lay over i decided to drop an album of different porportions of my life. As you all know i talk mainly about how great i am in the majority of all my raps braggin and boastin to the fullest. With this album i took a more layed back aproach i didnt venomize it, i teased in certain areas, like my man kool keith i was fucking with a new invention. Cause im not afraid to make what the hell i want. So being that my government name is Paul, I grew up around alot of hispanics and there parents would call me Pablo or Pablito which means lil Paul cuz im like 5'8 as was a lil nigga all my life. Hence the Album title PABLITO'S WAY. Ultrakeith.net: Did you get involved in the producing much? Motion Man: Naw i gotta admit Kut Masta Kurt has been lacing me with heat for a minute. But sometimes that mutha fucka will putchu in that room with a beat you gotta figure out while he goes and makes a jamba juice. Megalow Maniac was one of those but we got some good feedback on it so iguess hes on to something.(lol) Anyhow hes a top notch producer who should be production globaly for everybody. But i am comming back on the pruduction skills. i used to produce im coming back im doin it all from the bay to we we out in france. Ultrakeith.net: You used to dj for a group "Zero Tollerence" back inthe day, did u ever have a scratching routine? Motion Man: Yea i was actulay (seriously no joke) i had my turntables on the ground in a box and i was practicing break dancing while i was djing. doing footwork around my turntables and cutting thomas flare around the tables. it actualy made me a better breaker cuz 1200 cost so you couldnt f' up and kick the nemark mixer or smash a table or break a needle........cost to dam much. Ultrakeith.net: Your working on a new album with tomc3 "ernie drastic", tell me a bit about the album. Motion Man: Its another Motion man album Titled ERNIE DRASTIC. its about a bald headed black entreprenuer whos fed up with life and people aroud him trying to control him and his ideas. They cant do what he does. but they wana tell him how to use his powers. Like a human trying to control the Pheonix. Im the muntant. Ultrakeith.net: You also have another new album in the works with Del & Tomc3, is there a title for it yet, when is that expected to be released? Motion Man: Ill just tell you its dope.. and i let the puplic hear HUMOUNGUS for a bit im gonna let them hear another one called CUTTING THE JUNGLE. after that yall gotta wait for the singles and album so stay tuned for the day or so i leave the songs up. Ultrakeith.net: What was your first record you bought?, What sort of music did you grow up listening to? Motion Man: My 1st album i purchased with my lil bit of money was Parliaments MOTOR BOOTY AFFAR. Ive been in love with big asses ever since they woke me up as a kid and showed me what it was really about. I grew up on jazz, Aretha franklin, Gladys Night, Shirely Ceasure, Richard Pryor, franky beverkly and Maze, i said richard pryor cuz we had all his albums in the house Red foxx also, very long list the next interview we do ill spit it all. Ultrakeith.net: What music are you listening to now? Motion Man: Honestly im a football junkie and the rest of the sports just fall in line. so i listen to sports talk radio all day i.e the sports references in my raps. when im not doing that im bumbing Frankie Beverly and Maze, wow too long of a list but Golden Time of the day stays in my navigators cd changer. Ultrakeith.net: Your originally from and grew up in eastbay cali, did u ever get into much trouble growing up? Motion Man: Nnaw my pops wouldve knocked me the f out, whatever i did i cant talk about in an interview anyway some things you dont say. Ultrakeith.net: Whats your favourite track you have made? and why? Motion Man: 'Dat Ass' although it runs a close second to 'We All Over' because i think about Dat Ass all day and night so its like a normal routine for me. If i dont see it i start to stress. Ultrakeith.net: Tomc3 gave me a track you did with the japan crew "Kaijan" called "no name", what were they rappen about? tell me how that came about? Motion Man: I dont know What the hell there saying.....??? i gotta be careful...you right im getting a lyric list translated into english for songs with forieng rappers from now on.make sure they aint sayin they like men or some shit,. cuz i like women so that wouldnt be a good song.
