Interview with Marc Live: 18/8/08 Ultrakeith: Yo Marc Live It's Ultrakeith Marc: what's up man ? Ultrakeith: Hey rockstar, just giving you a call hope it's not too early Marc: yeah it's cool what's going on man , Ultrakeith: Hoping you might have 5 minutes to have a chat do an interview Marc: Ok yeah so shoot, give me some questions Ultrakeith: What's up with Marc Rippin, we heard some of it, are you planning on releasing it soon ? Marc: I'm gonna do the Revenge of Marc Rippin it's gonna be with Episode 1 album coming out, it's gonna be The New Dope, that's the name of the album, It's called Rock Star The New Dope Episode 1 , I'm gonna do a double album with Episode 3. Ultrakeith: Ah Ok cool, so you're sorta merging a couple of albums together ? Marc: Yeah Ultrakeith: Cool so, when do you think we might be hearing that ? Marc: That's gonna be next year, spring time. Ultrakeith: Alright cool, Marc: I'm gonna have a lot of guest stars on there, like Linkin Park and people like that on it, so it's gonna be a big album. Ultrakeith: Oh really? cool, Hey what happened to Kannadi Spadez? Will that see the light of day? Marc: Kannadi Spadez is actually being released in Australia first, yeah it's from Midnight Recordings, we did a deal out there in Melbourne so when I get out there I'm pretty much gonna get that all sorted and it's gonna be coming out in Australia first, then hitting the states. Ultrakeith: Ah that's some good news , Ultrakeith: What about Live Black? Marc: I mean all those projects, Live Black, Episode 3, Episode 1, Return of the Raw Breed Killer Instinct album, you know the album that never came out, all those albums are gonna get released, like in 2009, so there's gonna be a lot of Marc Live Material coming out in 2009. You know when you're doing projects with other people , a lot of the time those projects get held up, because of legal shit, people want money, people want certain things so, now me and Silver got control of Live Black so we're gonna release that. Ultrakeith: We spoke to Silver the other day, he mentioned that Live Black would be re-issued, Marc: Yeah we're working on finishing some new tracks for that, so that's gonna be coming out 2009 Ultrakeith: You guys worked with Fanatik J on that, do you still have any contact with Fanatik ? Marc: No I haven't spoken to Fanatik in like 3 years, Ultrakeith: So when you're putting the Live Black stuff together, are you guys just doing that by yourselves ? Obviously not working with him anymore? Marc: Nah we're not working with Fanatik, I mean Fanatik is cool , but, his name is really true to form, I mean he's a fanatic, so it's like, you know he just really harboured the project, he didn't want to mix it, he didn't want to fast track it, he was so scared about doing anything with the project so he just held it. He recorded the return of dr octagon with Keith, it never manifested, what he does is if you record with him he'll hold your shit, and then he'll release it like you know, he'll try and do something with it but then try and sue you, you know we got our rights to that so we're gonna do our own shit, cos it's like 4 years, 5 years since that. Ultrakeith: Yeah, what we heard sounded really good, you and Silv together is obviously some good shit. So what else can we expect apart from Project X? Marc: I got my new label , with Tim Dog, called Rap Legends recordings through EMI, Keith is one of the executives too, we been working on that, so we got a lot of shit we're working on this year, so we gonna be put out some new artists. **Marc talks about coming to Melbourne and catching up with us at the show****** Ultrakeith: Cool thanks a lot for your time man, Marc: you got it.
