Interview with Marc Live: 21/8/06 UltraKeith.net: What have you up to recently? hows things going? Marc Live: Working on my new album episode 3 ...things are cool just grinding the industry is very different than it was 10 years ago! UltraKeith.net: What can you tell me bout that, and whens that expected to drop? Marc Live: The album is called "The Return Of Marc Rippin" basically its about the return of the sound and the intensity of the raw breed days that real street shit that straight up hip-hop bronx shit! different from my underground persona and sound! this records should be dropping early 2007.. with a single in the fall of 2006! UltraKeith.net: Your also working on a new album with raddarr van from the wu called "kannadi spadez" whens that expected? and what can you tell me about that, and how did u hook up with raddarr? Marc Live: Kannadi is coming out early 2007....its just the true essence of underground ... music with the Kannadi project i can just air it out with the beats and ill rhymes .....without any restrictions.... i met raddar thru keith (kool keith) in a studio session and raddar pulled out my first album loony tunz....and was like i been listening to you for years and then we just clicked from then! UltraKeith.net: Whats up with the Live Black album? i seen that fanatikj is ressurecting it, are you still behind it? Marc Live: Live Black was a good project extreme left shit very new weird shit ... I dont know whats gonna happen but id like to see it come out one day! UltraKeith.net: Have you been doin much producing latley? Marc Live: I've been doing alot of beats lately new shit my new album gonna be ill! UltraKeith.net: Hows live seven entertainment going, what direction is it going in? Marc Live: we are managing some new artist and working on developing some tv shows and film scripts!!! UltraKeith.net: Whats up with the new clayborne album that was advertised on your live7 site, is that being released? what can you tell me about that album? Marc Live: There will be no more clayborne albums!!! just can't agree musically and theres just no time! UltraKeith.net: You also have a dvd coming out on junkedelic music called "the lost weekend" what can you tell me about that, and any news on when it is being released? Marc Live: Its just about different out takes candid stuff like a documentry type thing still in progress!! no release date yet! UltraKeith.net: Are you working on anything else? Marc Live: that's about it just the new album and the production compant trying to stay focused! UltraKeith.net: As u know keith made a track with u mentioned, i heard you and keith worked that shit out pretty quick, any plans to work together again soon? Marc Live: Yeh it was some rumor shit, someone said something to keith that they lied about then keith lashed out, but when we talked it was worked out. i dont talk to the asshole who started the trouble! UltraKeith.net: Have you spoken to h-bomb? what happend there? Marc Live: We cool we are working on some deals !!!its all peace! i mean its like the same thing niggas (khm) was all best friends hung out everday until the morning ... but we all separated h-bomb-LA keith-nyc marc-miami so its like nigga dont vibe and then suckers start tying to infultrate the team and start up shit! but we good! UltraKeith.net: How did u hook up with icet? Marc Live: I met ice in 93 with keith at the new music seminar we went to ice-ts hotel room and watched tresspass before it come out in the movies it was ill.. UltraKeith.net: How did u hook up with keith, your related arnt you? Marc Live: Ive known keith since i was was 3 years old his father and my father grew up together so its like we are cousins ... ive known keith before he was rappin he used to dance at my birthday parties! UltraKeith.net: Whats up with smg , how much did u produce on that album? Marc Live: Smg i produced 4 songs tell me about smg.... thats the hardcore supergroup staring trigga tha gambler -smoothe da hustler duce fever myself and ice-t UltraKeith.net: repossession is a dope dvd... Marc Live: thanks for that it was fun making the dvd its real big! UltraKeith.net: You have produced a lot over the years, can u quickly run through some of the stuff you have produced? Marc Live: I co-produced... dr.doom black elvis ice -t 7 analog brothers spankmaster jackie jasper keep my shit clean khm clayborne validation ganster rap (new ice-t) repossession smg lost masters 1 and 2 and alot of other shit!! UltraKeith.net: Is there ever going to be a reunion of raw breed? Marc Live: Na niggas got families but we might do a reunion song for my album!! UltraKeith.net: What do u think of keiths production? Marc Live: Keith is a factory he goes in the studio books 8 hours, brings a suitcase with rhymes rents a keyboard motif or triton and makes 10 songs in one day rhymes and beats with hooks... thats production i wish i could work that fast.. he's the man hes beats are future !! UltraKeith.net: How many tracks did you produce on ice-t's album "7th sin" ? , that album was dope!!!!!! Marc Live: 3 tracks! UltraKeith.net: How many tracks did you produce on black elvis? tell me about that.. Marc Live: Like 7, keith would give me 10 baselines a day and an extra sound and then leave the studio go party come back the next day and i would have 10 beats done hot mixe on dat he would pick some and write and make the song ... crazy 3 month in philly it was the best time !! UltraKeith.net: Any tours coming up? Marc Live: Na just work! i might go out with keith but i gotta see! UltraKeith.net: What was your first record you bought?, what sort of music did you grow up listening to? Marc Live: First record rapper delight ... i grew up listening to jazz and funk !! UltraKeith.net: who are your influences? Marc Live: ultra magnetic ,rakim , krs...run dmc ..ice-t!! UltraKeith.net: What music are you listening to now? Marc Live: Listening to jr writter..that niggas ill! UltraKeith.net: What sort of music do you listen to? Marc Live: Alternative and hardcore metal and punk and undergroung rap UltraKeith.net: whats your favourite track and why? Marc Live: no favorite just random shit!! but im definately listening to the jr writter album its my subway music! UltraKeith.net: What do you think about hip hop today? Marc Live: Hip hop is in a sad state its fucked up for nyc we struggling we behind the 8 ball ..its hard for us to get on top of the game no more originality its like you got an artist with a album track 1 is ny shit track 2 is la track 3 is a south beat track 4 is some kayne shit track 5 is some dance shit disco shit so there no sound the south just stays south stays hard with the tracks and party and drink on top so thats that! UltraKeith.net: Your from new york, did u ever get into much trouble growing up? Marc Live: I got into the usual shit petty theft some fights rolled with my brothers crew tbk and zulu nation.... UltraKeith.net: ever get into graffiti or anything? Marc Live: tbk and bc were big wriiting graf crew with the gangster element, we broke dance and ..everthing some of us sold dope some robbed but that was the bronx that was hip hop it was crazy but we made and now we can rap about it!
